Di2 MTB!! Ki2 by K-Edge

--Henry got his Di2 tallboy back from K-Edge and it's sick!! They call it Ki2.

--Looks like Vino has been healing better than expected and is looking to race one more at Lombardy! He says this will likely be the last race of his career, but I wouldn't complain if he raced one more.

--The Vuelta has begun! Yesterday was the opening TTT. I really don't know if I can take another grand tour. Riders usually do one, maybe two at most. But fans, we have all three to survive. It really takes its toll, at least here on the west coast with the time difference.

For those of you looking to watch it online DON'T BUY CYCLING.TV!!! Seriously, those guys are straight crooks. See the above link for details. They promised the grand tours in 2009, lost the Giro rights, only had Tour highlights, and then refused a refund.

However, has a solid $14.99 package for the Vuelta and if you have any problems they'll refund your money.

--The last of the transfer news is rolling in, excepting Cav who is most likely headed to Team Sky. First up, Gilber has signed with BMC. Looks like all that talk from Hushovd about safety and riders to support him was just that, talk. Clearly BMC will be nothing more than another Omega Pharma situation where instead of Greipel unhappy it will be Hushovd. Back to Gilbert, sounds like he got a serious contract and I think he'll have lots of success on BMC.

Speaking of Omega Pharma, Jurgen Van Den Broeck has re-upped with Omega, or whatever the new merged team will be called. He's signed for the next four years.

And Pinotti has found a team for 2012 but won't say until September.

--For those of you in Colorado for the bike race, Velonews has a nice post up about good eats for each stage. Check it out.

--Lastly, after all the post-Tour criteriums were over Voeckler decided to race a horse. Voeckler summed up his 2-1 loss by saying, "Duels between professional cyclists and horses are not rare and generally turn to the advantage of the quadrupeds." Well said.

According to the article, fellow Frenchamn Gadret raced a similar event and beat the horse 2-1. (Note: the horses in these events aren't allowed to actually run, the have to just trot. A horse at full speed could only be beaten by the HTC train.)
